Campbell River is a coastal community located on the North central east coast of Vancouver Island, approximately 3.5 hours drive North of Victoria and a 1.5 hour drive North of Nanaimo.
Nootka Sound is on the Northwest coast of Vancouver Island. Access is by road, boat or float plane. By road from Campbell River the Village of Gold River, which sits at the head of Muchalat Inlet, is about a 70 minute drive. We provide transportation from Campbell River to our base in Gold River / Nootka. Please contact us for more information.
Campbell River and Nootka Sound are both located on Vancouver Island, situated off the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. There is no bridge to the Island; to get here, hop on the car ferry and drive or fly to Campbell River, Comox (just 30 minutes South of Campbell River) or Victoria, BC's beautiful Capitol city.
Motorists take a car ferry (one the largest and most sophisticated ferry fleets in the world) from Vancouver to Nanaimo (mid-island: shorter drive) or Victoria (South Island:- longer drive but great scenery). If you are traveling from the United States you can catch the car ferry from Port Angeles, Washington state to Victoria, on the Southern tip of Vancouver Island.
Central Mountain Air and Pacific Coastal Air serve Campbell River airport while WestJet and Air Canada Jazz serve Comox Airport, just 30 minutes south of Campbell River. Victoria International Airport is served by multitude of airlines, as is Vancouver International Airport.
We would be happy to make arrangements for you including transportation to and from the airport. Contact us for more information. Next
