Here is your checklist for the perfect BC salmon fishing trip:

1. The fishing area must be:

Teeming with fish - Campbell River salmon fishing is good for a reason. All five species of Pacific Salmon pass through these waters throughout the summer months and well into fall. Literally millions of fish returning to their native rivers. On the West Coast of Vancouver Island, sits Nootka Sound, a saltwater fishing paradise, where trophy salmon, monster halibut, red snapper, lingcod and many other species of bottom fish roam the deep.

Easy to get to - we’re always close to world class salmon fishing in Campbell River and Nootka Sound. We can arrange accommodation within minutes of the fishing grounds in either location.

Surrounded by stunning scenery - lush Vancouver Island rainforest, BC coastal mountains. Historic Nootka Sound and surrounding area open onto the spectacular Pacific Ocean.

2. The fishing trip must offer a variety of fish:

Campbell River and Nootka Sound both offer first-rate salmon fishing with all 5 species of pacific salmon - Chinook (Kings), Coho (Silvers), Sockeye, Pink, Chum.
Nootka Sound Halibut fishing along with Ling Cod , Red Snapper and other bottom fish, is world - class.
Campbell River waters also offer prawning and crabbing for fresh seafood dinners.
Vancouver Island rivers and streams offer freshwater fishing enthusiasts fantastic Trout fishing and Steelhead fishing. The fly fishing is extraordinary.

3. Must have excellent sport fishing guides:
